Australia Rice 10kg
Australia is known for producing high-quality medium and short-grain rice, with most of its rice grown in the Murray-Darling Basin, particularly in New South Wales. The industry is highly efficient and uses advanced water-saving and sustainable farming practices.
🍚 How to Cook Australian Medium-Grain Rice (Stovetop Method)
🧂 Ingredients:
-
1 cup Australian rice (e.g., Reiziq or SunRice medium-grain)
-
1.5 cups water
-
Pinch of salt (optional)
🔥 Instructions:
-
Rinse the rice:
Rinse under cold water 2–3 times until the water runs mostly clear. This helps remove excess starch and prevents it from becoming too sticky. -
Combine in a pot:
In a medium saucepan, add rinsed rice and water (1.5 cups water to 1 cup rice). Add a pinch of salt if you like. -
Boil:
Bring to a boil over medium heat, uncovered. -
Simmer:
Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover with a tight lid, and let it simmer for 15–18 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender. -
Rest:
Turn off the heat and let the pot sit covered for 5–10 minutes. This allows the steam to finish cooking the rice evenly. -
Fluff and serve:
Fluff the rice gently with a fork and serve.
✅ Tip:
Australian medium-grain rice is slightly sticky and soft, making it perfect for stir-fries, sushi, risotto-style dishes, and everyday meals.
